Cane9Creek RV Park and Campground will be the home of the Anniston Kennel Club’s annual American Kennel Club all breed dog shows in 2012. Anniston Kennel Club will be holding  2 full day all breed dog shows, which have in the past been in April and September, “back to back” on September 22 and 23, 2012. It is anticipated that the entry will be in excess of 400 pure bred dogs. All sites will be set aside for exhibitors and vendors beginning  the Wednesday prior to the show.   Once all sites are filled, then exhibitors and the public will be accommodated on a “primitive” basis.  All traffic into and out of the park near the show rings will be limited during show hours, which are 7:30 am to 6:00 pm.  Reservations and advance deposits will be required in order to reserve all sites with water and electrical.  Anyone arriving without a reservation may be parked in a site without hookups at the discretion of the Club and Park.   Shower facilities are limited and dogs will be prohibited in those facilities.  Bathing facilities for dogs will also be available.

The Talladega Week saw a number of fans staying at Cane9Creek. Although storm warnings delayed the Saturday race our campers still enjoyed the short commute to and from the racetracks. The “shortcut” allowed them to watch the final race on Sunday, make a quick stop at Piggly Wiggly for steaks and drinks and be back at their site in less than an hour. Make sure you have your reservation for the next race!
